  • But you’re not here to stay in your room. Just get a good night’s sleep and go exploring

The Scarinish Hotel is beautifully situated on an attractive wee bay in the village and is only a short walk from the ferry terminal. The comfortable en suite room had an excellent view out to the bay. The room was very comfortable, the menu was varied and the food was first class with generous portions (packed lunches available) . The bar was well stocked and the entire staff were cheery and friendly.

We visited for 2 nights at the end of March. We used the ring and ride bus service from the airport which transferred us to the hotel for £1.65 each. The hotel is one of the friendliest in which we’ve ever stayed. Angie is the manager and as well as being enormously helpful she is so cheery and welcoming. Her husband Matthew is the chef and on both nights came to the dining room to personally regale us with the delights of his menu.

Super friendly staff, Mathew was absolutely fabulous and accommodating. The food was great, really tasty. The room above the dining room was perfect for sitting and chatting and the breakfast room was always open. Muffins, coffee, tea, biscuits and a stack of bacon in the fridge. Really happy we chose to stay there. The room was toasty and bed was comfortable.
